This lively local show raises funds for the library in Lovell, Maine. It draws a range of craftspeople from Maine and New Hampshire, and is a much loved event. The first time I did this show, I saw a mother bear and two cubs cross the road right before I got to the school!

If you’ve never been to this fair, you are in for a treat – the setting is the beautiful farm and nature preserve in Wells. You can see beautiful work from artisans throughout the Northeast and walk the lovely trails to the ocean.

Back again at the wonderful Common Ground Country Fair – a celebration of rural living . Organized by the Maine Organic Farmer’s and Gardeners’s Association, this is a hopeful event with everything from sheep dog demonstrations to a veggie parade. It also has two large tents filled with Maine craftspeople.

This wonderful show is back this year. The large room at Fort Andoss is transformed into a lovely area that features some of Maine’s finest artisans.
