This is the 91st anniversary of this amazing fair. I went to this fair every summer as a child, and I think it had a big impact on my decision to become a maker. There are over 200 artists displaying fine crafts and two dimensional artwork.

Charlotte Hobbs Library Art and Artisans Fair
95 Main Street Lovell, Maine
9 am – 3 pm
This lively local show raises funds for the library in Lovell, Maine. It draws a range of craftspeople from Maine and New Hampshire, and is a much loved event. The first time I did this show, I saw a mother bear and two cubs cross the road right before I got to the school!

Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival

Wells, Maine
10 am – 4 pm
Back for its 36th year, this fair draws artisans from New England and beyond and is set in the beautiful Wells Reserve – a national estuarine research reserve. It is a major fundraising event for the reserve which maintains active research programs on our Maine Coast habitat. Come early to give yourself time to explore the 2,000+ acre preserve with miles of coastal trails.

Maine Crafts Association Guild Fine Craft Show

This wonderful show is back this year. The large room at Fort Andoss is transformed into a lovely area that features some of Maine’s finest artisans.

This year will be the 25th anniversary of this wonderful show. Bradbury Mountain Arts organizes this show, and it features both 2D and 3D work. It’s a lovely event.
